About this service
Updated October 2026
Redlands Pool Renovations is a local referral service for the Redlands, Queensland, the bayside part of Brisbane that sits inside Redland City. It does one thing: when you need pool renovation work, it puts you in touch with one of the experienced, insured local pool renovators who works your suburb.
The council brands the area Redlands Coast. Locals call it the Redlands, and so do we.
How it works
You send the quote form with your suburb and what you need. Your details go to a local pool renovator who services your area, and they call you back with a price. Quotes are free, there is no obligation, and you deal with them directly from there.
Mainland only, and why we say so
Redland City is roughly a third water. There are six residential islands, and pool renovation is the wrong trade to pretend otherwise about. Resurfacing, tiling and coping mean a crew, a materials delivery, a chip-out, a cure and several return visits, and on the bay islands each of those is a separate booked vehicle barge crossing. So the service area here is the 12 mainland localities, and island pool work gets its own honest page at island pool enquiries.
The 12 are Alexandra Hills, Birkdale, Capalaba, Cleveland, Mount Cotton, Ormiston, Redland Bay, Sheldon, Thorneside, Thornlands, Victoria Point and Wellington Point. That is the full mainland locality list for Redland City, not a selection, and we have not padded it with suburbs that belong to the neighbouring councils.
Why it exists
This is a region with a lot of pools of a certain age and very little easy way to compare who should touch them. The content here explains what each job involves, roughly what it costs, and the questions that make two quotes comparable, so you can judge the price you get instead of guessing.
What we will not publish
No pool counts by suburb. No pool penetration percentages. There is no published, suburb-level pool data for Redland City: the QBCC Pool Safety Register is searchable by address and is not released as suburb-level open data, so any number on a site like this one would be made up. We describe where the old shells are, by suburb, and leave the counting to anyone who actually has the data.
Also no response-time promises, no attendance guarantees, no review counts and no star ratings. We are a referral service, so the only honest thing to promise is that your enquiry reaches a local renovator who can quote it.
The fine print, plainly
Redlands Pool Renovations is not a trade business and does not carry out the work itself. Jobs are referred to independent local contractors, licensed where the work requires it. In Queensland, building work valued over $3,300 generally requires a QBCC-licensed contractor, and electrical work must be done by a licensed electrician. Pool safety certificates are issued only by a QBCC-licensed pool safety inspector, not by this site and not by the trades we refer. Price ranges published on this site are a guide based on typical Australian rates, and the contractor's own written quote is the price that counts. Where the copy touches planning or building rules, treat it as a guide rather than legal advice and confirm the current position with Redland City Council, a private building certifier or the QBCC.
